Chrome Roll Bars and Headers

I was looking for these Hamann bars for a long time. Finally I found one on ebay.de and jumped on them. I will post pictures as soon as they arrive and have them installed.
The second upgrade is Supersprint headers. This must be the ultimate performance upgrade for an S62 engine. I will post my review as soon as they are installed.

I already have Eisenmann race catbacks but these headers will increase sound level a little.

How'd I miss those on EBay! I made multiple calls a few years ago trying to get a set of those roll bars made...no reply.

You know what? After the purchase I was checking my paypal transaction history. I noticed that the seller of the Hamann bars are Olaf Hetze. So I sent him an email introducing my self. This is really a small world.

Here are the recent upgrades:
3.64 final drive, Quaife LSD, Supersprint headers and center resonators delete. 3.64 gearing should be the best performance upgrade for this car. As for the headers, there was always a hesitation after a wot in lower rpms. Now its gone. Throttle response is more crisp, engine revs more quickly and freely. LSD makes the tail happy. This what I like about LSD

Hmmm...So here's a thought, since those "Sport Bars" are no longer available...what if you took them to a fabricator and had them duplicated? Is there any interest from other owners on the forum in purchasing a set(s)?

I never quite liked the matching color of the "sport bars". The chrome is bright, but I could easily live with it... a brushed finish (similar to the Z8 interior pieces) would look pretty sharp. Shall we put this up as a new thread and or possible group buy?

I bought Zed8's chrome roll hoops about seven years ago. I searched a long time, even contacted the original manufacturer to make another set without success. You can see them on my silver car from Andrew's pics of our Sept. meetup at the Peterson Auto Museum here in the Drives, Trips and Events Forum.
